BANDIT
IS CRUSIN’ FOR A CAUSE WITH THE 2007 NATIONAL
CHAMPION TENNESSEE LADY VOLS BASKETBALL COACHES
Knoxville, TN- Bandit
Lites recently lit Volunteers Crusin’ For A
Cause homecoming celebration in Market Square. Coaches,
Holly Warlick and Nikki Caldwell road Harley Davidson
motorcycles for an eleven-day cross-country journey
to raise breast cancer awareness.
The Market Square
homecoming event was the last stop in a 3,000-mile
ride from Berkley, CA to Knoxville, TN. The trip also
included special events and rallies in Las Vegas,
Albuquerque, Dallas, Little Rock, Memphis and Nashville.
Tennessee Women’s Head Basketball Coach, Pat
Summitt and Men’s Head Basketball Coach, Bruce
Pearl were at the event to welcome the riders home.
Tennessee Women’s Athletic Director, Joan Cronan
was also present.
Lighting Designer,
Chris Lisle, chose to use 6-Lamp Bar Silvers, Martin
MAC 500s, 600s, Coemar LED Pars, and Martin Atomic
Strobes. Lighting was controlled by a Whole Hog II.
“Lighting design
for Crusin’ For A Cause was actually pretty
simple, but I tried to add some uniqueness to it,”
explains Lisle. “Because there was a lot of
TV coverage, and IMAG for the video screen, I basically
lit the event for TV.”
The venue where the
event was held did not have a load-bearing roof, so
everything had to be ground supported. Lisle’s
main idea was to give a visual centerpiece to the
show,
so he re-created the university’s famous "T"
with truss and toned it with Coemar ParLites. He also
placed several 20" truss towers with Mac 500s
on them around the stage, and added a few Mac 600s
and Atomic Strobes in for eye candy.
“My Bandit Client
Rep, JR Sander, was a pleasure to work with,”
adds Lisle. “The Project Manager, Giff Swart,
did an excellent job in getting the rig prepped, delivered,
and built as well.”
