CEO INDUCTED INTO EAST TENNESSEE BUSINESS HALL OF
FAME
Knoxville, TN- Bandit
CEO, Michael T. Strickland is one of three local business
leaders that recently received East Tennessee’s
highest honor. The 20th Annual East Tennessee Business
Hall of Fame Banquet took place on Thursday, March
13, 2008 at the Knoxville Convention Center. Bandit
Chief Operating Officer, Peter Heffernan, introduced
Strickland at the ceremony.
East Tennessee Business Hall of Fame Laureates are
individuals whose vision and innovation have moved
the region and society towards beneficial and stronger
direction.
Michael T. Strickland adds this honor to an already
impressive list of awards that he has received over
the years. In 1997, Bandit received the Mass Mutual
Blue Chip Award as one of America’s top companies.
Then, in 1999, Strickland was placed into the Nashville
Business Hall of Fame. That same year he was also
named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by Ernst
& Young, CNN and USA Today. A leader in the entertainment
lighting industry, Bandit has been named ‘Lighting
Company of the Year’ 16 different times.
