Garth
Brooks; Back in a BIG way with Bandit Lites
Veteran country music icon, Garth Brooks is back on
the road for three very special shows to coincide
with the release of his new album Scarecrow. The Bandit
system was once again designed by Dave Butzler with
the help of Bob Peterson, and like Garth himself is
larger than life.
The overall design
with look familiar to many Garth fans, but with the
tremendous leaps in technology since Garth'’
last “go-round” it will be unlike anything
ever seen before. Hanging from the almost 1000 feet
of truss will be over 400 Martin MAC series fixtures,
and all will be controlled by four Whole Hog II’s,
three with expansion wings. Garth will once again
utilize the exclusive Bandit Lites MotoData time and
position based motor control system, to deliver stunning
truss movement.
The first show aired
live on CBS television on November 14th from The Forum
in Los Angeles, and was spectacular. The second show
is slated for November 21st from the deck of the USS
Enterprise aircraft carrier in Norfolk, VA, and third
show from South Padre Island, Texas on November 28th.
Both the remaining shows will air live on CBS as well.
The five semis of lighting gear were prepped and tested
to Bandit Standard in a remarkably short period of
time and truly displayed to the resolve and attention
to detail that Bandit is known for worldwide.
