BANDIT PROVIDES LIGHTING FOR THE CURB COLLEGE OF ENTERTAINMENT AND MUSIC BUSINESS SHOWCASE SERIES AGAIN IN 2007-08

NASHVILLE- This is the third consecutive year that Bandit Lites is proud to announce their involvement in the Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business Showcase Series. Bandit will be providing equipment as well as assisting in the lighting design and direction for the six-concert series.

The Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business Showcase Series is a student production run by Belmont University students. The students assist in all aspects of the showcase, from lighting and sound to stage design to the acts performing. The series of concerts represents a wide variety of genres including Christian, Urban/Pop, Country, Rock, and everything in between. There is also a final showcase featuring the Best of the Best.

Bandit Lites is excited to be working with the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business again in 2007-08. The college is known for offering real world applications such as the showcase series to their students. As a result, students easily transition from the classroom to their careers.

Bandit Lighting Designer and Belmont Instructor, Chris Lisle, commented, “The shows are pretty much student run, so I more or less serve as an advisor for the showcase, but it’s exciting to watch the students apply training from my two classes to help put on the show.”

“We are very excited to be involved with the music industry future leaders at this developmental stage of their career,” added Bandit Business Development Officer, Brent Barrett.

Barrett, who has worked with Belmont’s Mike Bannon from the start, spoke of both Bannon and Belmont in the highest regard, “Bandit Lites is honored to continue our positive relationship with such an outstanding university and staff. It makes the affiliation even more special because both organizations share a strong common Nashville presence.”
