Job Title: Cable / Assembly Technician
Level I
Department: Technical Services Division
Reports To: Director of Technical Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Knoxville
SUMMARY: Test and repair all Bandit
cables and cable assemblies. Build and test new
cable assemblies test equipment and power distribution
systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Repair and Test all cables and cable assemblies
• Solder and or install connectors onto different
cables and assemblies
• Assist in the assembly of power distribution
• Assist in the preparation of sales fixtures
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below
are representative of the knowledge, skill and /

• Ability to read and understand
basic wiring diagrams
• Very strong soldering skills
• Able to use test equipment such as a multi-meter
• Able to work safely with soldering and fume
extraction equipment
• Good prioritization and time management
skills
• Ability to adapt well to changing priorities,
methods and timelines
• Excellent judgment in quality and safety
• Willing to take on additional responsibilities
as assigned
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand/walk
for extended periods of time
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Experience troubleshooting
electronic devices and soldering small surface mount
components
Pervious work with assembly and soldering a must
MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to make measurements
and calculate basic formulas
REASONING SKILLS: Ability to exercise
and display good judgement and prioritize duties
with supervision of the Technical services site
Manager. Must be self motivated.
